This project includes the construction of approximately 3,600 feet of roadway, extending Nature Heights Drive from U.S. Highway 281 to Mormon Mill Road. Once completed, the new roadway will feature a typical collector street cross section, including sidewalks, street lighting, utility extensions, and necessary drainage improvements along the entire extension. The existing tree located in the median of Nature Heights Drive will remain untouched and will be preserved as part of the project.

The project is scheduled to receive its Notice to Proceed on February 2, 2026, with construction anticipated to be completed by Christmas 2026, weather permitting.

The Nature Heights Drive Extension Project will deliver long-term improvements for Nature Heights and the surrounding area, including a safer, modern roadway design, improved drainage to help reduce flooding and standing water, better connectivity between U.S. Highway 281 and Mormon Mill Road and stronger pavement and infrastructure designed for long-term durability. These upgrades are intended to protect nearby properties while improving everyday travel for residents, school traffic, emergency vehicles, and local businesses.

Construction zone areas will shift as work progresses along the project corridor. All active construction zones will be clearly marked with cones, barricades, and signage. For safety, drivers and pedestrians are urged to follow posted traffic control devices and avoid entering work areas.

Packsaddle Construction is serving as the contractor for the project, with engineering services provided by Aguirre and Fields in partnership with the City of Marble Falls Engineering Department.
