Due to the forecasted cold weather and the potential of loss of power for extended periods of time, the City of Marble Falls has partnered with First Baptist Church Marble Falls, Highland Lakes Crisis Network and the Marble Falls ISD to provide a Warming Center.
While citizens are encouraged to stay at home, loss of power for an extended time frame can be extremely unsafe. If you need to travel to a Warming Center please use extreme caution as road conditions are still dangerous. Travel is not recommended unless it is an emergency.
The Warming Center is located at the First United Church Marble Falls, 1101 Bluebonnet Drive, Marble Falls. This center is not pet friendly. Please bring blankets and/or sleeping bags. A Warming Center is a short-term emergency shelter that operates when temperatures or a combination of precipitation and wind chill become dangerous. The purpose of the shelter is the prevention of death and injury from exposure to the elements.
Please be advised the we cannot guarantee that power will remain on at the Warming Center, but it is a safe warm place for you and your family.
