Burnet County Judge Oakley, upon the recommendation of the Burnet County Local Health Authority and supported by all the Mayors of incorporated municipalities within Burnet County, issued a “Stay in Place and Stay Safe” Order effective at 11:59 pm today, Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
The Order has been issued based on evidence of increasing occurrence of COVID-19 within Burnet County and throughout Central Texas and evidence that the age, conditions and health of a significant portion of the population of Burnet County places our County at risk for serious health complications from COVID-19. The intent of the “STAY IN PLACE AND STAY SAFE” Order is to control the risk and spread of the virus.
