The City of Marble Falls is updating the current floodplain management standards required by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in order for the city to maintain eligibility in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
A Public Hearing will be held on July 16, 2019 at 6:00pm in the City Council Chambers (800 Third Street) to discuss and take action on the new maps.
The NFIP is a voluntary participation program and shows the city’s commitment to recognize flood hazards and adopt development standards.
Citizens can view a side-by-side comparison of the flood map updates using FEMA’s Flood Map Changes Viewer. Instructions for the viewer can be found here.
