Posted on: September 24, 2025[ARCHIVED] HLRECC Earns APCO Agency Training Program Accreditation

To obtain accreditation, HLRECC submitted its training curriculum to APCO International, who conducted a review of the materials and documents provided. The review evaluated the training curriculum to ensure it provides trainees with the required content and documents the demonstration of decision and psychomotor skills cited within the standard.
Public safety agencies use the APCO International Agency Training Program Accreditation as a formal mechanism to ensure their training programs meet APCO American National Standards (ANS). Initial and continuing training for public safety telecommunicators is important as they provide essential services to the public in an expanding and rapidly changing environment.
“We’re so proud to have earned the Agency Training Program Accreditation from APCO. This achievement highlights the dedication of our entire team to maintaining the highest standards in training and service," said Stacy Marberry, Director of HLRECC. "It reinforces the trust our community can place in HLRECC and the professionals who serve it every day.”
