Both northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. 281 are closed between FM 1431 and Broadway due to a major gas leak.
Barricades are in place and no through traffic is allowed in the affected area.
Marble Falls Fire Rescue, Marble Falls Police Department, and Atmos Energy are on scene assessing the situation. This portion of the roadway will remain closed for an extended period as crews work to safely repair the leak.
