The City of Marble Falls is excited to announce that Avenue Q, between FM 1431 and Broadway, is open.
The Capital Improvement Project began in May 2023 and aimed to replace aged and undersized infrastructure to ensure reliable service connections and road improvements.
Key highlights of the project:
- Water System Replacement: Aged water service lines have been replaced with new, durable materials, ensuring a reliable water supply for residents and businesses.
- Wastewater System Replacement: The wastewater system underwent necessary improvements to safeguard our community's clean and healthy environment.
- Storm Drain Replacement: Deteriorated and failed storm pipes were replaced, and upgraded junction boxes were installed, providing resilience during adverse weather conditions.
- Sidewalk Addition: With a commitment to pedestrian safety and accessibility, a walkway was added for a more safely connected community.
- Road Reconstruction: New grading will improve stormwater runoff, and resurfacing will improve driving conditions.
