PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

The City of Marble Falls will hold a public hearing at 5:05 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2020 at the Marble Falls City Hall located at 800 3rd. Street, Marble Falls, Texas 78654 regarding the submission of an application to the Texas Department of Agriculture for a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program (TxCDBG) grant. The purpose of this meeting is to allow citizens an opportunity to discuss the citizen participation plan, the development of local housing and community development needs, the amount of TxCDBG funding available, all eligible TxCDBG activities, and the use of past TxCDBG funds.  The City encourages citizens to participate in the development of this TxCDBG application and to make their views known at this public hearing.  Citizens unable to attend this meeting may submit their views and proposals to Mike Hodge, City Manager, at the Marble Falls City Hall.  Persons with disabilities that wish to attend this meeting should contact City Hall to arrange for assistance.  Individuals who require auxiliary aids or services for this meeting should contact the city at least two days before the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made. PUBLIC NOTICE

The U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) is considering a request for Federal assistance from the City of Marble Falls to construct Marble Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 in Marble Falls, Burnet County, Texas.  Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), EDA is conducting an assessment of the potential of the proposed project to affect the environment and/or historic properties.  Notice is hereby given that the project is proposed to be located in, or may affect, a floodplain and/or wetland as defined by Executive Order (EO) 11988 and/or EO 11990

The project is for preliminary engineering, permitting, and design of a 1.5 million gallon per day (1.5 MGD) wastewater treatment plant at the City’s current Texas Land Application (TLAP) site, a pipeline to convey wastewater to this site from the existing plant, and an evaluation of the City’s wastewater collection system.   The project will be located at 1951 Colt Circle, Marble Falls, Texas 78654.  Project information is available for review at the City of Marble Falls Engineer’s Office, 1808 Second Street, Marble Falls, Texas 78654, (830)798-6265, and kpaul@marblefallstx.gov.
