Residents Encouraged to Join CivicReady Messaging System


The City of Marble Falls encourages all residents and businesses to join the CivicReady messaging system.  The service is a free communication tool which communicates important information from the City by email, text and voice.

City Secretary and Public Information Officer Christina McDonald stated, “CivicReady was used during the February 2021 winter storm. Residents can choose how they receive notifications. Choosing text or voice delivery is important as one can receive messages by cellphone if they have no internet or internet service is lost.”

CivicReady is also used for routine communication such as brush pick up, burn ban notifications, and boil water notices.

Residents and businesses can sign up through the City of Marble Falls website  Members have the ability to customize their notification preferences, allowing people to choose which types of alerts and community news they wish to receive.

For Emergency Notifications such as weather alerts please register with WarnCentral Texas at, our regional notification system.  WarnCentralTexas is used as an emergency notification system as it uses a reverse 911 system to send notifications out via designated phone number(s) and text messages.

“If residents need help signing up for either system, they can come by City Hall or call 830-693-3615 for assistance”, stated Christina McDonald, City Secretary.
