The City of Marble Falls, in partnership with First Baptist Church of Marble Falls, will host a Fourth of July festival along with a community firework show over Lake Marble Falls. Festivities will begin at 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 4, with the fireworks beginning shortly after dark. All activities will take place at the First Baptist Church located at 901 La Ventana Drive in Marble Falls.
Activities will include a rock wall overlooking beautiful Lake Marble Falls, bounce houses, waterslides, an interactive photo booth, giant lawn games and GaGa ball. Multiple music acts will play throughout the festival, including the Hill Country Community Band. Onsite food trucks to include SnowBiz, Tony Bar-B-Que, and more. The Marble Falls High School Band will be grilling up hotdogs and hamburgers as a fundraiser for the booster club. The First Baptist Church will be open for cool off zones during the heat of July.
This year’s fireworks show is going to be better than ever! Just as last year, the fireworks will be shot from a barge located in the middle of Lake Marble Falls. Boats are permitted on the lake during the show, yet all boats need to be on the water and set it their selected location by 8:00 p.m. Lakeside Park will be closed to the public as construction continues for the park improvements. There will be plenty of seating on the lawn at First Baptist Church. Patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Please no glass containers or alcohol.
Parking for the event will be at First Baptist Church, overflow onto Bendito Way and Corazon, as well as additional parking in the Gateway area. Buses will be available to shuttle from extended parking areas. La Ventana Drive will be closed off to the public during the event. Please use FM 2147 to Esperanza or US Hwy. 281 to Max Starcke Dam Road.
The 2020 Fireworks Spectacular will return to Lakeside Park with a bang! The new and improved park amenities will feature a one-of-a-kind public beach, ample amount of seating and greenspace to bring your blankets and lawn chairs for the perfect view over the lake.
“We are excited about this year’s celebration. I have always enjoyed the fireworks over the lake. When I accepted the position in June of 2014, it was the first community celebration I attended as City Manager. We are looking forward to the different venue and the vantage point for viewing the fireworks. The 2020 Fireworks Spectacular will be moved back to Lakeside Park for all to enjoy the new amenities.” – Mike Hodge, City Manager
“We are thankful to partner with First Baptist Church of Marble Falls for the 2019 Fourth of July Spectacular and we look forward to the opening of the new Lakeside Park amenities. This year’s celebration offers great family activities and as always a great view of the fireworks over Lake Marble Falls.” – Robert Moss, Parks and Recreation Director
